As a no-kill shelter, we have a limited admission policy. We accept cats and dogs that are being surrendered by their owners and approved transfers from other animal welfare organizations. We will also accept socialized stray cats when we have space available. By law, stray dogs must be surrendered to the Carroll County Dog Warden at 330-627-4244.

 

Animal intake is by appointment only. Call 330-476-6234 to schedule. Animals must be leashed or in cages or carriers for safety. The shelter has leashes and carriers available on site to transport animals from a vehicle into the shelter if not already restrained.

We will NOT accept:

- feral animals

- animals with serious medical issues

- animals that display or have a history of aggressive behavior

We will do our best to assist with finding resources to care for these animals.
